I’m a Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Guilford, and I work with children and teens who are carrying more than they can easily put into words — anxiety, big feelings that arrive fast, trouble settling at school or at bedtime, a body that seems to react before anyone can talk about why.
Most parents arrive having already tried a lot. You’ve read the books, adjusted the routine, talked it through a hundred times. That’s not a failure of parenting — some of what a child is dealing with sits below the level of conversation, in the body, and it needs a different door in.
So we start with your child, not with a technique. I follow their lead through play, movement, and body awareness, and we build practical ways to notice what they’re feeling and steady themselves — skills they can use at school, at a friend’s house, at the kitchen table. You stay in the loop throughout; you know your child better than I ever will.
Years of pediatric nursing taught me how much can be going on beneath what a child is able to show, and how much can shift when someone slows down enough to look. That’s the pace I keep — unhurried, honest about what I can and can’t help with, and glad to say so if someone else is the better fit.
Outside of work you’ll find me at home, outdoors, or somewhere quiet enough to notice things — which is, I suspect, why this way of working suits me.
My training & background
A foundation I continue to build on — deepening the ways I can meet a child where they are.
Body-based approaches for anxiety, stress, and regulation — central to how I work with children.
Meeting thoughts and feelings with curiosity instead of judgment.
Understanding the different “parts” of a child’s inner world with curiosity and care.
Recognizing and supporting children’s emotional and behavioral needs within pediatric care.
Years spent supporting the earliest bonds between parent and child.
Graduate nursing training and the pediatric clinical foundation my work is built on.
Let’s see if we’re a good fit.
A free 20-minute consult is the easiest place to start — just a conversation.
